Episode 41. How Do We Talk About Antiracism with Our Students? with Sidnaya

A lot has happened these past few weeks regarding the Black Lives Matter movement. A lot of us also have a lot of questions and things to say but are either afraid to ask or afraid to discuss because these topics are always uncomfortable to talk about.

We are so excited to be speaking with Sidnaya this week where she will open our eyes as we talk about what our roles are as itinerant teachers in relation to the Black Lives Matter movement, what and how we should talk about the issues happening around us, what we should stay away from, and much more.

Join us as we navigate through the ways we can engage in conversations that make us uncomfortable but are absolutely crucial to talk about, whether it’s with our students or even with their parents as well. You’ll get to know how we can educate ourselves and our students further in this matter from the resources that Sidnaya will be providing to us. We’ll also be discussing how we could teach our students when it comes to technology in a way that’s going to be beneficial to their own lives.
