Episode 48. Benefits and Strategies of Teaching Assistive Technology Remotely

Teaching remotely has been a challenge and a top discussion ever since the pandemic started. We had to adjust from teaching in-person and figure out how we are supposed to teach remotely in a short period of time.

We have had a few guests who came in, provided tips and shared their experiences on teaching remotely. However, this week’s podcast will be a little different from usual where we will be learning from Tim Richard who presented in a webinar a few days ago about the strategies and softwares that are helpful in remote teaching. Tim Richard is a certified O&M Specialist, VRT, and one of the first CATIS-certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialists through ACVREP.

You will get to learn about the benefits as well as the strategies of teaching Assistive Technology remotely directly from Tim. If you’re interested, you can also find out more by watching the webinar which will be up until September 24th to learn the strategies that Tim shared, in a simple and accessible way.

Are you excited to find out? Head on to the podcast!
