Episode 46. Living Accessibly as an Independent Adult with a Visual Impairment with Carrie Morales

The advancement of technology has provided access to more and more assistive techs that can help people who are visually impaired to lead a better life. However, with the increase of these technologies, the information on how to properly make use of them are not exactly out there.

In this week’s podcast, we are joined by yet another Youtuber, Carrie Morales of Live Accessible, who shares her take on assistive technologies in order to provide information for people who are visually impaired on her channel. Carrie is an independent adult living with a visual impairment since she was born. She grew up being exposed to two sides of what was deemed normal, being surrounded by her family who are either deaf or blind and her school friends who are not visually impaired, shaping who she is today.

She will be discussing the connection between the advancement of technology and the accessibility for people with a visual impairment. You will also be able to know her journey of why and how she started her Youtube Channel, as well as how she manages her time in order to make sure that there’s a balance between work and personal life.
