Episode 33. The key to creating a successful remote internship with Anna Peskin & Jill Peterson

See this content in the original post

Internships are a great way to gain valuable hands-on, professional experience of your chosen profession.

This process is both beneficial for both the intern and the mentor. It provides the needed exposure to the actual work process to the interns and they’re able to establish a new network of contacts. Alternatively, the mentors are able to get a second pair of hands and eyes without the necessary commitment and are also able to gain a new sense of perspective from the intern.

However, undertaking this at this time, while the quarantine is in full swing, is nearly impossible. What with the added challenge of balancing how to make the internship work while trying to figure out virtual learning as well.

Our guest today are Anna Peskin, who is a certified O&M specialist and her intern, Jill Peterson. And you'll learn how they're navigating these waters, the challenges that they face, and more over what they're doing right. In today's episode, I bet you can find something that you can use as inspiration for either your next lesson, or the next time you have to take on an intern or really just have a global perspective about what other people are going through during this time. So I invite you to come take a listen to the show.
